Esséra began with a needle, a thread, and a family that believed beautiful things should be made with care.
The brand is named in honour of Essie, the founder's mother and first sewing teacher, whose patience and craftsmanship laid the foundation for everything Esséra represents today. It also honours the memory of Selassie, the founder's late elder brother, an exceptional furniture craftsman whose dedication to creating beauty by hand inspired a lifelong commitment to excellence.
The very first Esséra garments were created for family members to wear during his funeral a moment that transformed grief into purpose and craftsmanship into legacy. From that moment, Esséra became more than a fashion house. It became a promise. A promise that every creation would honour the hands that came before while inspiring those still to come.
